Carved out of the crumbling Soviet Union, Moldova may be Europe's least known country.

** TOURS TO MOLDOVA HAVE BEEN PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED **
With ethnic and linguistic links to Romania and a history of domination by powerful neighbours that came and went - Turks, Lithuanians, Poles and most recently Soviets - Moldova is a friendly and fascinating place with excellent wine, beautiful Orthodox monasteries and one of the world's great "outdoor museums", in the form of the break-away Soviet enclave, Transnistria.
Why travel with us ?
Once known as the "garden of the Soviet Union", Moldova is now re-establishing its own identity. Still largely an unknown on the tourist circuit, Moldova nonetheless offers a range of unique and quirky charms - from the beauty of its cave monasteries to the Soviet kitsch of Transnistria. Its wineries are surprisingly good, and some surprisingly vast.
We have extensive first-hand experience of Moldova and offer a unique small group tour of Moldova, our 'Moldova Explorer'- which visits its cave monasteries and fine wineries, the autonomous Turkic region of Gagauzia, and the unrecognised republic of Transinitria. In addition we offer a combination tour, Along Soviet Fringes, which combines Moldova's highlights with those of Ukraine and Belarus.
We are also happy to customise a tour of Moldova to suit, and can combine with most of its neighbours. Get in touch to let us know what you have in mind and one of our specialists will help you get the most from your trip.
