Cambodia
Cambodia is home to some of Asia's most iconic historic sights, including the world's largest religious monument, Angkor Wat, and the remote Preah Vihear dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva.
Intro
As well housing a fascinating collection of Hindu and Buddhist temples, Cambodia is also filled with lush jungles and forests, colonial towns, remote monasteries and a beautiful coast. There are ample opportunities to learn about the golden era of the Khmer Empire, take a boat through colourful floating villages, and discover the delicious flavours of Khmer cuisine.Â
Cambodia's people will welcome you warmly to their land. Despite their difficult past they continue to demonstrate unfailing optimism, and they will make you marvel at humanity's capacity to endure and indeed prosper.
