Colombia
With a mix of Latin American and Caribbean culture, a treasure trove of historic sights, and a friendly and outgoing local population, Colombia is a destination that amply rewards the curious traveller.
Intro
A turbulent history of civil war and narco-fuelled violence meant that Colombia was off limits to the outside world for decades. Happily this is now firmly in the past and Colombia is safe, welcoming and arguably the most exciting country on the continent. Supporting ten percent of the world's biodiversity, Colombia's varied terrain encompasses the best elements of South American geography - from tropical Caribbean coastline and Serengeti-like grasslands to emerald hills studded with coffee farms, and snow-capped Andean summits.
Immerse yourself in a fairy-tale world of romantic colonial towns and villages as you wander through sleepy Villa de Leyva and along the cobblestone streets of picture-perfect Cartagena - the superbly preserved "Caribbean jewel in Colombia's crown". Savour world-renowned Colombian coffee amongst the verdant landscapes of the coffee region, and discover just why it is considered the best in the world. Ponder the mysteries of the ancient Tayrona civilisation on a trek to the magnificent Lost City ("Ciudad Perdida"), hike from jungle to glorious beach in Tayrona National Park and unlock the mysteries of San Agustin's enigmatic statues. Whatever you discover, a journey through colourful Colombia is one that continues to surprise all who visit.

Colombia Presentation
We were lucky enough to have Carolina, who helps to curate and manage our tours in-destination, share the sights and sounds of Colombia with us. She takes us on a journey from the capital Bogota, to the verdant coffee plantations in the Coffee Region and then the colourful streets of Cartagena. Carolina also introduces us to the reborn city of Medellin, the mysterious pre-Columbian statues in San Agustin as well as lesser-seen parts of the country, including the Pacific coast, the Tatacoa desert and the Lost City.WATCH PRESENTATION >>
